Harold Anthony Bourgeois, Sr.

Harold Anthony Bourgeois, Sr.,73, of Lake Charles, LA died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on September 22, 2016.

Harold Bourgeois was born on August 21, 1943 in Eunice, LA and has lived all of his life in Lake Charles.  He attended St. Margaret and Landry Catholic schools and was a graduate of Immaculata High School Seminary in Lafayette.  He worked as the General Manager of the local Burger Chef franchise for over twenty years.  He went on to management at the Isle of Capri from the time of their opening until his retirement.  He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and past member of St. Margaret and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic churches.  Harold  was active in his church and the community and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He also served on the Board and chaired on various committees for the annual telethon for the Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and Autism Foundation. 

Harold  is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Diana LaFleur Bourgeois of Lake Charles; son, Harold “Tony” Bourgeois, Jr. and wife Debbie of Lake Charles; daughters, Deborah Russotti and husband Andre of Midlothian, VA and Susan Ieyoub and husband David of Lake Charles; siblings, Joe Bourgeois Jr. of Slidell, LA, Carroll Bourgeois of Addis, LA,  James Bourgeois of Orlando, FL, Phyllis Wheelis of Houston, TX and Charles Bourgeois of Humble, TX; Also survived by one granddaughter, Andrea Russotti; eight grandsons, Austin and Kyle (Kayleigh) Bourgeois, Christopher and Steven Russotti, and Nicholas, Alex, Matthew and Ryan Ieyoub who will all be serving as pallbearers; one great granddaughter, Kate Bourgeois; and his beloved dog, Chip.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Emery Sr. and Delia Andrepont Bourgeois.

 Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the funeral home. His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  Monsignor Jace Eskind will officate.   Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
