John Richard Berchmans Deaton

John Richard Berchmans Deaton, 67, of Lake Charles, LA died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in a local hospital.

John was born on February 12, 1949 in Lake Charles, LA to Rex and Mildred Deaton. He enjoyed music, basketball, and eating with his family. John was known to light up the room with his wonderful sweet smile and humor.

Those left to cherish his memory include four siblings, Jimmy Deaton and wife Barbara, Jane Hebert and husband A.C., Joann Kimball, and Don Deaton and wife Jeanette; along with many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Rex Deaton; and one brother, Robert Rex Deaton.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Burial of his cremated remains will be at a later date.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Harbor Hospice, and Evergreen Life Services Facility. Very special thanks to Debra Hebert his niece for her lifelong love and care.
