Patrick Simons

Patrick Orson Simons, 67, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2022 in his residence.

Mr. Simons was born July 24, 1955 in Detroit, MI and has lived in the Lake Charles, LA area for the past forty-four years.  He was a 1973 graduate of Avondale Senior High School, attended Oakland Vocational Center for Heating and Air Conditioning and attended Mater Dei College.  He served his country in the U. S. Coast Guard and worked in insurance sales for the past forty-two years with Hub International Limited.  Mr. Simons was a member of the Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge, both in Westlake.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and kayaking and will always be remembered for his love of animals and his kind and gentle nature.

Mr. Simons is survived by his child, Jeffrey Simons of Lake Charles; brother, Robert Simons and wife Carol of Westland, MI; sisters, Sandra Calderone and Anne Stanfield, both of Battle Creek, MI; his special friend, Tina Reilly; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Audrey Martin Simons; and brother, Joseph Simons.

A gathering of family members and friends will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
