Victor Allen "Vic" Lafleur

Victor Allen “Vic” LaFleur, 65, of Toledo Bend died Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the comfort of his brother’s home.

Mr. LaFleur was a native of Lake Charles where he lived most of his life.  He attended Lake Charles High School.  He worked retired with over twenty years of service as a truck driver for Builders Save More.  Following his retirement, Mr. LaFleur moved to Toledo Bend to enjoy his greatest passion, fishing with family and friends and life on the lake with his brother and sister-in-law.  He also enjoyed watching classic Western movies, especially those featuring John Wayne and watching his team, the New Orleans Saints.  For fun, he played Pool for many years with a tournament team for Val’s Lounge and Bingo at the American Legion Hall in Sulphur where he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  Mr. LaFleur will be most remembered for his love of life and living it!  He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to honor his memory, five brothers, Russell LaFleur and wife Beth of Bozeman, MT, David LaFleur and wife Brenda of Lake Charles, Bobby LaFleur and wife Vicki of Moss Bluff, Phillip LaFleur and wife Rhonda of Toledo Bend and T-Boy LaFleur and wife JoAnn of Lake Charles; three sisters, Helen LaFleur Fontenot and husband Dale of Lake Charles, Barbara LaFleur Cooper and husband Bob of Orange, TX and Lisa LaFleur Reed of Lake Charles; Godchild, Monica Havens of Longville; former wife and friend, Kathy LaFleur and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Ernest LaFleur and Margaret LaFleur LaVergne and two sons, Eddie “Son” LaFleur, Jr.  and J B LaFleur.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  The Reverend Samuel Orsot will officiate.  Visitation Friday will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  In respect of “Vic’s” wishes, cremation will follow the services.
