Wayne Allen Doucette

Wayne Allen Doucette, of Vinton, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family at his side on July 18, 2014. He was a graduate of Vinton High School. Following high school, he served our country in the United States Army in Europe. After his military service, he worked in the oilfield industry and was a pipefitter for Local #106. Wayne also served as a Constable for the Vinton community for many years. Wayne was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kevin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Carolyn Sue Williams Doucette; sons, Brent Doucette and wife Carmen; Michael Doucette and wife Brenda; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Doucette; grandchildren, Taylor, Carolyna, Daniel, Garney and Jesse Doucette; and sister, Randy Jones. A Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Monday July 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Vinton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1502 Industrial, Vinton, LA, 70668.
