A1C Joel Michael Barrow

Joel Michael Barrow, 20, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2012 in Adana Turkey.

Joel was born in Summerville, SC on March 3, 1992 but has lived in Newport, NC, Wilmington NC, New Bern, NC, Grand Lake, LA and Ragley, LA. Joel graduate from South Beauregard High School in 2010. During his High School years he loved sports which included: racquetball at Court Plus in New Bern, track with the Lake Area Express Track Club, Lacrosse and football which was his favorite. He loved being out doors and no squirrel was safe on our nine acres in Ragley. Joel had a smile that instantly drew you to him and a personality that kept you around. Joel was attached to the 39th Security Forces Squadron at the time of his death. He was our son and our buddy and will be sorrowfully missed.

He is survived by his Father and Mother Troy and Angela Barrow; Grandparents John and Patricia Hoffman; Grandmother Bertha "Maw Maw" Barrow; Fiance'e Lenae Cordell and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who were more like his brothers and sisters to him.

His Funeral will be at 2:30 PM Friday April 6, 2012 at Livingway Pentecostal Church. Pastor Glenn Massey will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home and will continue from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM, Friday in the church.
