Aaron Dees Martin

Aaron Dees Martin, 33, a resident of New Orleans, was born June 9, 1982, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He passed away in his residence on September 11, 2015. Aaron was a 2000 graduate of Barbe High School and attended McNeese State University. He was a member of the Contraband Ski Team and was Manager of the Lake Charles Ice Pirates. Aaron never met a strange face with anything other than a smile, Ever! Because he was different, because his heart beat harder and quicker and more enthusiastically than those that surrounded his, He LIVED his life turned up, full throttle. And we, his family, salute him and honor what he has taught and given us. We wish him safe travels. We love him and we will miss him. Cheers, Aaron! We salute you and your life! Aaron was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dees Gill; his Paternal Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Lee Kitchens and Mr. Donald Ray Martin. Aaron's Funeral will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Weldon Bares will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Center, 2519 Ryan Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601.
