Abbie Rose Sebastien

Abbie Rose Sebastien, 86, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Sebastien was born in Plaisance, LA to Joseph Reed and Eva Dupre Reed on July 25, 1934.  She lived most of her life in Opelousas and has lived the past ten years in Lake Charles to be near her daughter.  She enjoyed planting flowers, traveling and going to the casinos.  Mrs. Sebastian was a lady of strong faith and family, devoting her life and her love to both.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Debbie Stewart and husband David of Lake Charles; two sons, Timothy James Sebastien and Joseph Stacey Sebastien, both of Shreveport; four grandchildren, Adele Yount, Dawn Nolan, Damien Stewart, James Sebastien; six great-grandchildren, Abigail, Gregor, June, Trip, Jullian and Noxely and one sister, Rayburn LeDoux of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, James Archie Sebastien; daughter, Rebecca Marie Sebastien; her parents and four sisters.

Mrs. Sebastien’s family wishes to offer heartfelt thanks to the doctor’s and staff of Resthaven Nursing Center for the kindness and compassion given to Mrs. Sebastien.

Graveside services will be a private family gathering under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate.  Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA.
