Ada Mary Fontenot

Ada (Mrs. Everiste "Bee") Fontenot, 93, passed away at 5:25 PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2010 in local hospital.

She was the daughter of Marcil and Edna Benoit and reared by Ned and Clementine Ledoux in Hayes, LA Mrs. Fontenot was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Mary (Mrs. Ed) O'Hara, and her granddaughter, Jan Primeaux. She is survived by her daughter, Dora (Mrs. Lawrence) Primeaux; grandchildren, Mitzi (Mrs. Konstantino) Kechagias, Ramona (Mrs. Charles) Fischer, and James O'Hara and wife Angie; great grandchildren, Corynn Primeaux, Reece O'Hara, Cameron and Braeden Fischer; one sister, Idele Courville; half siblings, Emily and Frank; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City. Reverend Augustine Mulanjanany will officiate. Burial will be in the Hayes Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, with a scripture service at 6:30 PM followed by a Cursillo Rosary at 7:00 PM, and continue from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the funeral home.
