Adeline "Addie" Alise Hoffpauir

December 28, 2006 — January 1, 2021

January 1, 2021 Adeline Alise “Addie” Hoffpauir was called to reside above the stars in Heaven.

New Years Day traditionally symbolizes new starts, but this year will be a little bit different. If there is a takeaway, it is that daily we are blessed with the ability to create our life the way we want it to be. Place your trust in God and family, to never give up and you will always overcome the struggles, problems, and road bumps along your way.

Addie, a belated gift following the birth of Jesus Christ, was welcomed on December 28, 2006 by Robert and Angela Hoffpauir in Lake Charles, LA.

She was such a unique girl; passionate, creative, and inquisitive from birth. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and being “Auntie” to her nephew. As a member of Lakewood Bible Fellowship, she found a second family through her faith with whom she enjoyed sharing her gift of singing.

The beauty of the world captivated her, she often captured through drawing or creating it from LEGO’s. She was a self-taught historian, scientist, and astronomer; her passion for space and the heavenly bodies was contagious. You could often find her studying the heavens at night, peering through her telescope, searching for different planets or a glimpse of the Milky Way. She could also be found squishing or kissing her nephew’s face, blissfully ignoring her siblings’ commands, or cuddling her loving parents while they played with her hair.

She was welcomed into Heaven by her great grandmothers, Kathryn Law and Bertha Richard, and close family friend, Belinda Strittmatter.

Addie’s life and laughs will continue to be celebrated by her parents, Robert and Angie Hoffpauir; her siblings, Emma Hoffpauir, Elliot Hoffpauir and Audrey Hoffpauir; her nephew, Travis; her grandparents, L.A. and Edda Hoffpauir, Glenda and Russell O’Quinn, Glenn and Sally Richard; great-aunt Myra Hoffpauir, and her son Brian, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she was extremely close to.

The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at University Baptist Church from 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will resume Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 9am, with a funeral led by Pastor Aaron Terry beginning at 10am under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens.

We invite you to sign her digital register book, leave a fond memory or sentiment of condolences for the family on our website www.johnsonfuneralhome.net.
