Adreinna Sparks, 86, of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in a local healthcare facility.
Mrs. Sparks was born in Center, TX and has lived nearly fifty years in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Brownwood Texas High School and McNeese State University. She was a member of McNeese Ladies group and Couples friends and always took great pride in supporting her husband's career, a Professor at McNeese. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Sparks loved music, singing and dancing. She was a member of two local dance groups. She will be remembered as a Christian woman of Faith. Mrs. Sparks was a member of First Methodist Church of Lake Charles where she was a member of the choir for twenty years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, Dr. Charley Wade Sparks of Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Sue Miller Vaga, TX and three nephews, Robert Miller of Vaga, TX, Charles Miller of Bremen, ME and Tam Bredemeyer of Lancaster, TX and one niece Debra Ann Goodman of Bloomington, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Mary Jones.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 27, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Friday will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation Saturday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
