Adrian Ray Maddox, 71, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 in a local hospital.
Mr. Maddox was born in Bunkie, LA and has lived nearly fifty years in Lake Charles. He worked many years as a Bricklayer for Local #4 and nearly twenty years as an Insulator at P.P.G. Industries. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Mr. Maddox served as Vice President of Ring 214 of Lafayette and Ring 268 of Lake Charles. He was a member of Sale Street Baptist Church.
Mr. Maddox will be most remembered for his generosity, sense of humor and love of his grandchildren.
He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife, Dottie Maddox of Lake Charles; one son, Jason Maddox and wife Angie of Lake Charles; one daughter, Kimberly Hooper and husband Donald of Lake Charles; three step-children, Bill Piggott and wife Billie Jean of Bay City, TX, Mark Piggott and wife Melissa of Kirbyville, TX and Dina Deboer and husband Kyle of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren, Alex and Emelie Holman, Mason Hooper; Mark Jr., Matthew and Michael Piggott and Paris and Lexi Deboer; one brother, Ronnie Maddox and wife Brenda of Lake Charles and three sisters, Joan Wood of Lake Charles, Dee Hannigriff Courville and husband Donald of Lake Charles and Alice Thibodeaux of Liberty, TX.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Rachel Fontenot Maddox; parents, Charlie and Rosa Maddox; three brothers, Buzz, Charlie and Willie Maddox and one sister, Wanda Gary.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Randy Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation Tuesday will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
