Aglia Rose Daigle, 80, of Lake Charles, LA died May 16, 2014 at a local care facility. Aglia Rose Daigle was born in Lake Arthur on July 3, 1933 to Edgar and Astazie Trahan. She was a resident of the Lake Area for fifty plus years. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She loved canning, cooking, and gardening. She always believed in having a good time with family and friends. Survivors include three sons, Leroy Daigle of Iowa, LA, Fairrel Daigle of Lake Charles, LA, and Larry Daigle and wife Tammy of Iowa, LA; five daughters, Alvinetta Conerly of Grandville, TN, Norlene Moore of Lake Charles, LA, Greta Broussard of Lake Charles, LA Schelly Trahan of Lawton, OK, and Tara Brinsfield of Chattanooga, OK; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Jean Lavergne of Lake Arthur, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband of 45 years, Alvin "Pete" Daigle; three sisters, Zora Istre, Mary Prejean, and Lovenia Comeaux; three brothers, Kulan Trahan, Nellis Trahan, and Albert Trahan. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, May 19, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00 am Monday until time of service. Burial will be at Andrus Cove Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA. Father Jeff Starkovich will officiate.
