Agnes R. Primeaux Landry

Agnes R. Primeaux Landry, 93 years old, went to join her beloved husband of 72 years on Friday, September 9, 2022.  She was born on February 24, 1929 to Elias and Marie Primeaux in Bell City, Louisiana.

She was a loving and devoted wife and a surrogate mother and grandmother to numerous nieces and nephews.  She was a graduate of St. Charles Academy and an active member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her brothers in law, Edgar Landry (Kathy), Winston Landry (Pat); her sisters in law, Ena Simon, Margaret Hernandez (Lloyd), Theresa Cormier, Judie Landry and Earline Landry; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Landry, Jr.; her parents; her brothers, Lenest, Minos, Nelius “Butch,” and George Primeaux; her sisters, Leta Arnold, Annis Lunn and Mary Louise Rogers; and her lifelong best friend, Lauris Byrley.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Msgr. Jace Eskind will preside.  Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at 2:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Heaven, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the organization of your choice.

The family would like to give special thanks to Carol Williams, Terronda “Little One” Gibbs, and Shaun’tel Williams for their loving care of our Aunt Bea and Uncle Jay in their final years.
