Al Franks Mays

Al Frank Mays, 86, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 9:05 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in his residence. Mr. Mays was born March 4, 1929 in Jasper, TX, where he lived all of life until moving to Lake Charles, LA two years ago. He was an avid Cowboy's fan who also enjoyed golf. He will always be remembered as a cowboy and loved horses. Mr. Mays is survived by his wife of thirty years, Eileen Mays; daughters, Melissa Davis and Marsha Hart; step-daughter, Terri Wells; step-son, Ricky Stutes; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and best-friends, Robert Powell and Lee Guidry. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Mays; and parents, Virgil and Lucille Mays. His memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Brian Manuel will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
