Alan Booth

Alan Pierce Booth, known to his family as Paw Paw, passed away on February 9, 2018, in his residence with his family by his side.  Alan was born on August 28, 1944, to Juanita and Silas Booth in Texhoma, TX, and lived most of his life in Gillis, LA.

Alan was certified in many trades including mechanic and pipe fitter and was a skilled and master leather craftsman. He cherished spending time with his kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Wilda Abshire Booth; three daughters, La Nita Booth, Dawn Booth Harbert and husband Michael, Jody Booth Gary and husband Adam; three sons, Alan Booth, Jr and wife Rachel, Shawn Booth and wife Dusty, Cody Booth and wife Alecia; two brothers, Robert Mark Booth, Randy Booth and wife Sharon; one sister, Dianna Booth Byrd; a host of nieces and nephews; 22 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Fitzgerald Booth and one sister-in-law, Michelle “Mimi” Booth.

A private memorial will be held for the family.
