Albert Chiasson, 84, of Lake Charles passed away, Monday, April 11, 2011 in a local care facility.
He was a native of Ged, LA and a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Mr. Chiasson retired from Cities-Service Refinery after many years of service. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II and the Korean War, and was a member of V. F. W. Post #2130. Mr. Chiasson was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Margaret Davis Chiasson; one daughter, Ginni Chiasson Brady; three grandchildren, Joshua Brady and wife Susan, Jamye Vidrine, and Melissa Guidry and husband Randy; two great grandchildren, Maycee and Jayden Vidrine; one sister, Betty Gunn and husband Wally; brother, Jim Chiasson and wife Helen; stepsister, Mary Ann Young and husband Ronnie; two step-brothers, James and Leo Chiasson. He is preceded in death by his infant son, Al Dean Chiasson, a daughter, Danni Chiasson Smith and grandson, Brandon Kade Brady.
His funeral will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Steve James will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, and continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund.
