Albert Mitchell “Bubba” Vick, 71, of Lake Charles, died May 15, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Vick was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School. He retired from Alcoa in 2014 after many years of loyal service and cooked for many benefits sponsored by Alcoa. Mr. Vick loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping at Sam Rayburn.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Devall Vick; two sons, Carl Guy Vick II and wife Jenny of Lake Charles, LA, Albert Mitchell Vick, Jr. and wife Keri of Iowa, LA; one daughter, Mia Vick Nichols and husband Craig of Sulphur, LA; nine grandchildren, Gradey, Collyn, Brit, Annie, Reed, Mary, Guy, Calla, and Lucia; his mother, Della Funk Vick of Lake Charles; his brother, Carl Vick and wife Nedra of Sulphur, LA. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Guy Vick and brother Ronald Vick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 11:00 AM on Friday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Monsignor Daniel Torres serving as Celebrant. Burial will be at Goos Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday May 17, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home. A Rosary is to be recited at 6:30 PM Thursday and visitation will resume on Friday May 18 at 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
