Albert P. "Bucky" George, 63, of Lake Charles, LA died at 3:05 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in a local care facility. Bucky was born April 28, 1951 in Galveston, TX, where he was raised. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained at Fort Polk, LA, then served as a Green Beret and paratrooper. He graduated from hair school in Texas and enjoyed traveling the country sharing his talent at various salons. He taught at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in California and while living in Hawaii worked for Paul Brown and John Paul Mitchell. Mr. George previously owned Flash For Hair Salon in Lake Charles and worked at Vincent's Masterpiece in Maryland for ten years. After returning to Lake Charles in 2000, he opened Kristen Noelle Salon and currently was the owner of Salon 420. Bucky was a very active member of Alcoholics Anonymous in the Lake Charles Area. He was the proud sponsor for numerous people throughout the years and most recently received his 10 year Sobriety chip. He attended the Vineyard Church and was a member of Water's Edge Church. Bucky was an avid fisherman, enjoyed being on the water, and loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a man of compassion, with a magnetic personality, who inspired the best in everyone around him. Mr. George is survived by his children, Kristen "Muffy" Breaux and husband Richard of Katy, TX, Misha George of Santa Monica, CA, and Ashbrooke Hogan of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Lauren Breaux, Landen Breaux, and Brenden Moody; brothers, Bob George and Arleigh George; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Blanche George; brothers, John Lamar "Pistol" George and Thomas S. George; sister, Tina "Sissy" George; and his first wife, Connie Marie Leveque George. His memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Vineyard Church. Reverend Kelly Vigo will officiate. A gathering of friends will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until the start of the service
