Albert W. Smith, 66, of Lake Charles, LA died Thursday, February 5, 2015 in a local hospital. Albert was born on November 1, 1948 in Laguna- Pueblo Albuquerque, New Mexico to Albert and Marie Smith. He enjoyed being around family and friends. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and attained a degree in Engineering. He was an Executive Project Consultant in the Energy and Oil and Gas industries. He was an avid marathon runner competing in many states. He also enjoyed watching old movies and singing in his church choir. He was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector for many years. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Sharpe Smith of Lake Charles, LA; two sons, Charles R. Brown and wife Mary of Federal Way, Washington and David A. Brown and wife Yvonne of Canyon Lake, Texas; four grandchildren, Richard P. Brown, Veronica C. Cantu, Ashley N. Sharp, Amanda M. Warren; three great grandchildren, Madison, Sophie, and Jaylie , and numerous loving family members. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with at scripture service and a rosary at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery.
