Alex "Butch" Albair, 68, passed away on September 1, 2015 at home with his wife by his side. Butch was more than a husband to his wife, Crawfish Jackie, he was her best friend. He was retired from the crabbing industry. Butch was a past manager of West Cove Seafood on Channel Drive. Butch also is a veteran of the United States Army serving 14 years. Butch is survived by his wife of 30+ years, Dorcil "Crawfish Jackie" Albair; one son, Bobby Albair and wife, Michelle; step children, Paul Harrison, Theresa Harrison Wilson, William Shehan, Jr. and Melissa Fuselier and husband, Mackie; and siblings, Elsie Albair, Mary Jane Callahan, Billy Albair, Helen Carmichael, Peggy Magnusson, Cathy Mikolajek, Betty Petitt and husband, Norman, Patsy Spicer and husband, Marshall, Richard Albair and wife, Peggy and Ray Albair and wife, Carmella. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Thelma Albair; one daughter, April Albair; and brothers, Bo Hyatt, Edward Hyatt, Pete Albair and Eli Albair. Services for Butch will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11 am at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Greg Broussard officiating. Burial will be at New Hackberry Cemetery in Hackberry, La. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4-9 pm at the funeral home and resume Saturday from 9 am until the time of service.
