Alex Joseph Clostio,Sr., 62, of Sulphur, passed away on November 28, 2011 in his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2p.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Kohler, MS officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, La. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Robison Funeral Home Chapel from 10a.m. until 9p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30p.m. and will resume on Thursday at 8a.m. until time of service. Alex was a native of Abbeville and a longtime Sulphur resident. He worked for many years as a pipefitter before retiring this past March. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus,Council 3015 where he served as Financial Secretary. Alex was also a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister. Alex is survived by his four daughters; Felicia Dupre and husband, Tony, Katina Dennis and husband, Kevin, Christel LeMaire and husband, Tyson, and Alexis Istre and husband, Randall, Sr. all of Sulphur, one son; Alex Clostio, Jr. and wife, Rachel of Prairieville, LA, six sisters; Mary Landry and husband, Lovelace, Sr. of Erath, LA, Barbara Simon of Abbeville, LA, Delores Foreman of Abbeville, La, Judy Abshire and husband, Steve of Kaplan, Lee Ellen Toups and husband, Glenn, Sr. and Debra Meaux and husband, Michael, Sr. all of Abbeville, LA, two brothers; Kenneth Clostio and wife, Brenda of Abbeville, LA and Raymond Clostio and wife, Monica of Sulphur, eleven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Alex was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Peanut Clostio, parents; Otto and Ida Mae Clostio, brother; Curley Clostio and one grandson; Bailey LeMaire.
