Alice Faye Benson, 37, passed away at her residence on September 26, 2017.
Mrs. Benson was born in Lake Charles to Patricia and Roy Boudreaux on November 27, 1979. She will be remembered for taking care of everyone around her and putting their needs before her own. She loved animals, painting, and working at Sha Sha’s. She was generous and kind and is said to have never met a stranger.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 18 years, Rusty Shawn Benson; children, Brailyn Benson and Kinlee Boudreaux; sister, Renella Boudreaux (Chad Arceneaux); nephew Jacob Dockins (Kristy); nieces, Jerica Boudreaux (Blake Matt), and Jaycee Dockins; and best friends, Alicia LaBove, Kristy Smith, Dana Boudreaux and Tammy Semar.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Vivian LaBove and Garland and Veda Boudreaux; uncle, A. J. LaBove; cousins, Randall LaBove, and Wade Dyson; and mother in law, Stephanie Montie.
Her funeral service will be held at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church on Thursday September 28, 2017 at 2 PM. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Sweetlake Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 PM until 8 PM and will continue on Thursday from 8 AM until 1:15 PM. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 6 PM.
