Alice LeBlanc Roy, 84, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:00 AM on Monday, December 13, 2010 in her residence.
Mrs. Roy was born October 30, 1926 in Duson, LA and has lived in Lake Charles since 1969. She worked as head of cosmetics in Walgreens for eighteen years. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Mrs. Roy enjoyed rocking her dog, Maggie, but her true passions in life were for her family, her church, reading the Bible, and baking pies. She will always be remembered as a loving and kind, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Mrs. Roy is survived by her son, Ronald Dean Roy and wife Judy; daughters, Alice Mae Humphrey and husband Charles and Peggy Vincent and husband David, all of Lake Charles; sister, Hazel L. Crochet of Jennings, LA; grandchildren, Terry Duprie and wife Terry Lynn, Damon Navarre and wife Allison, Danielle Hartman and husband Daryl, and Christine Gardiner; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Roy.
Her funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father Danny Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 2:15 PM at the funeral home.
