Allen Brice Quakenbush

Allen Brice Quakenbush, 67, of Lake Charles, passed away on November 6, 2022 at Harbor Hospice facility in Lake Charles, LA. He was born August 6, 1955 in Roswell NM. and is the son of the late Wendell (“Wink”) and Arlene Johnson Quakenbush.

Allen was an honorable member of the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976. He then attended Georgia Tech University where he received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He worked as a chemical engineer in Lake Charles, LA and Houston, TX from 1979 to 2016. Allen was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melanie Rudd Quakenbush; daughter, Melina Fralick (Bryan) of Sulphur, LA; son Caleb Quakenbush (Ian) of Washington, DC; and brother, Wendell L. Quakenbush (Bonnie) of Leesville, SC.

A private military graveside service for Allen will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Jennings, LA.
