Allen Trahan

Funeral services for Mr. Allen Trahan, 88, of Sulphur, will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1pm in Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Re. Jack Gandy will officiate. Burial will follow in the Head of the Hollow Cemetery, Johnson Bayou. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 9th from 2pm " 9pm and resume on Wednesday, November 10th from 8am " until time of services at 1pm. Mr. Trahan passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 in a Lake Charles hospital. Mr. Trahan was a native & lifelong resident of Johnson Bayou. He worked for Cameron Parish Sheriff Department for 10 years and then in the Oil fields. Later he went to work for the Texas Hwy Dept. for 20 years until he retired. Mr. Trahan served his Country in the United States Army in the Philippines where he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 bronze stars; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 2 bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal; American Theater Campaign Medal and World War 2 Victory Medal. He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Irene Trahan, Sulphur; 2 Daughters: Nancy Constance & husband Johnny B., Jr. Lake Arthur; Betty Phillips, Lake Charles; 2 Sons: Darrell Gene Trahan & wife Nancy, Carlyss; Robert Earl Trahan & wife Connie, Johnson Bayou; Brother: Utly Trahan, Carlyss; Sister: Lorraine Blanchard, Kinder; 12 Grandchildren and 27 Great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Effie Trahan; 4 Brothers: Alton, Melvin, Elvin and Douglas Trahan; 2 Sisters: His Twin, Allie Storm & Sylvie Constance.
