Allison Hollingsworth

Allison Hollingsworth, 47, of Lake Charles died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ms. Hollingsworth was a native of Lake Charles and lived the past twenty years in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a graduate of Barbe High School and Drake University where she attained an Associate degree in Business. During her younger years, she enjoyed cheerleading, playing, basketball, softball and volleyball. She worked many years in restaurant management and was a supervisor at Wells Fargo. Allison will be most remembered for her love of her children, grandchildren, infectious laugh, pretty smile and “no filter” personality.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Brittany Lauren Benoit of Baton Rouge, Charles Mark Hollingsworth of Lake Charles and Channing Joseph Lambertz of Des Moines, IA; three grandchildren, Aleigha Brooke Benoit, Kenleigh Jolie Benoit and Raeleigh Sage Benoit, all of Lake Charles; her mother, Donna Fontenot Babineaux and step-father Ronnie, of Lake Charles; maternal grandmother, Carrie Fontenot Richard and husband Lee of Lake Charles; two sisters, Kami Babineaux Gentry and husband Monte of Lake Charles and Bethany Babineaux Ellender and husband Derrick of Lake Charles; many nieces and nephews and her precious fur baby, Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Burtney Fontenot and son-in-law, Blake Benoit.

Allison’s family will respect her wishes in bringing her home for a private family gathering.
