Alma Doris Eagleson Opry

Alma "Doris" Eagleson Opry, 93, of Lake Charles, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Opry lived many years in years in Lake Charles and lived many of her married years in Pensacola, FL. She worked as a Beautician until she met and married her husband. She enjoyed recreational shrimping with her husband and was a die hard New Orleans Saints football fan. Mrs. Opry was an active member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Opry; her parents, Charles and Josephine Eagleson and eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 25, 2016 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Jay Alexius will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Sunday will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
