Alton Joseph Manuel

Alton Joseph Manuel, 80, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, in a local hospice facility.
Alton graduated from Fenton High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from McNeese State University. He was a Chemist for PPG Industries for over 30 years. Alton was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church of Carlyss. He loved watching baseball and football and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Alton never met a stranger striking up a conversation with anyone. He will be remembered for his deep faith and love of family.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Lane Michael Manuel and his wife, Mary Ellen Marshall, of Anthem, AZ; granddaughter, Langley Marshall; and brother, Gene Manuel and his wife, Grace, of Fenton.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Marlene Gail Stroderd Manuel; son, Alan Joseph Manuel; daughter, Gabrielle Renee Manuel; and brother, Donald Manuel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Interment will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. Father Sibi will officiate. Visitation will be 10AM –1:30PM Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home with a recitation of the Rosary at 11:30AM.
