Alton "Scooter" Brown, Jr.

Alton “Scooter” Louis Brown Jr., of Dequincy, LA passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 30,2023.

Scooter was born on February 15, 1974, in Lafayette, LA to Lydia and Alton Brown Sr. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers and side-by-sides as he enjoyed the great outdoors. He worked for BrandSafway as an Operations Manager for many years.

Those left to Cherish his memory are his loving wife of 5 years, Jamie Brown; two sons, Hayden Wyatt Brown and Jordan “Gordy” Huval; mother, Lydia Brown; two siblings, Victoria Mars and Cyndi Trotter; nieces and nephews, Cody Morgan, Jennifer Smith, Jason Philyaw, J.W. Daigle, Justin Daigle, and Jessica Wilson; and numerous great nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Alton Brown Sr. and one brother, Randy Brown. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Sunday from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South.
