Amanda Lee Felton

Amanda Lee Felton, 10, of Lake Charles, LA died at 2:20 PM on Monday, February 27, 2012 in a local hospital.

Amanda was born August 8, 2001 in Sumter, SC, lived in a few years in Pearl, MS, and lived in Lake Charles for the past three years. She was in the special needs class at Prien Lake Elementary School. She was a Shriner's Child and enjoyed coloring, watching TV, and playing on the computer. She had a passion for butterflies.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Barbara and John Joseph McPherson of Lake Charles, LA; sisters, Jennifer Lloyd and fiance' William Ridgilland Marsha Miller, all of Sumter, SC; grandparents, William C. and Helga Miller of Dalzell, SC; uncles, William Miller and wife Dyanna of Dalzell, SC and Ricky Miller and wife Donia of Gaston, SC; aunt, Linda Uhl of OH; Godparents, Paul and Kim >

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Harold Miller.

Her memorial service will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Beni Wego will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to the Doctors and Staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital Pediatric floor, especially Scott Rentrop.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autistic Society, Shriner's Hospital for Children, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
