Amber Nichole Schooler Dressler, 39, of Lake Charles, LA died Saturday, September 5, 2015 in a local hospital. Amber was born on June 12, 1976 to Jim and Pat Schooler in Port Arthur, TX. She was a 1994 Barbe High School Graduate. Amber attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated from Stage One Hair School. Amber enjoyed sports, shopping, and reading. She loved spending time with her boys and being around friends and family. While bonding with her friends and family, her extraordinary cooking brought them closer together. One of her favorite pastimes was running marathons for charities. Her favorite charity was Ainsley's Angels. Her loving survivors include her husband, Andy Dressler of Lake Charles, LA; three sons, Jordan Danna, Noah Dressler, and Dillon Dressler all of Lake Charles, LA; parents, Jim and Pat Schooler of Lake Charles, LA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jan and Francis Dressler; brothers-in-law, Billy Dressler and Joey Dressler and wife Courtney; nieces, Maggie and Miley Dressler; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Serving Amber as pallbearers will be Jordan Danna, Andy Dressler, Billy Dressler, Joey Dressler, Ryan Nolen, Kennon Fontenot, Gunner Leger, and Jeff Murphy. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Milton and Margie Roy of Lake Charles, LA and Harold and Lee Schooler of Winnsboro, LA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. Rev. Steve James will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jarmon Comeaux and his nurse Leah Chavis, as well as the nurses of ICU, for taking excellent care of Amber while she was in their care.
