Amos Edward Corbello

Amos Edward Corbello, 88, of Lake Charles, LA died at 8:00 PM on Friday, July 6, 2012 in a local hospital.


Mr. Corbello was born September 29, 1923 in Bell City, LA, where he graduated from Bell City High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and retired from Olin Chemical as a boilermaker after over thirty years of service. He was a member of Boilermaker's Local # 79 and was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.


Mr. Corbello is survived by his brother, Ray DeRouen and wife Ethel of Lake Charles; nephew, Lee DeRouen; and nieces, Debbie La Fleur and husband Mike, Cheryl Miller and husband Gerard, and Becky Phillips and husband Tommy.


His memorial service will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Ray Menard will officiate. Burial of his ashes will follow in DeRouen-Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 PM until the start of the service.
