Anderson Jake Andrus, 86, of Moss Bluff, LA died Monday, December 8, 2014 in a local hospital. Jake was born on April 1, 1928 in Ragley, LA to Dora and Anderson Andrus. Jake loved being around family and friends. He was also known for his hunting adventures with family and friends. He enjoyed living in the great outdoors. He worked as an electrician for over forty years for Gulf States Utilities Company and continued to work after retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Andrus; two sons, Jamie Andrus and wife Amber of Moss Bluff, LA and Jerry Andrus and wife Debbie of Moss Bluff; one brother, Pete Andrus ;three grandchildren, Katelyn Andrus, Trent Andrus, and Mark Kuhlthau Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first loving wife, Martha G. Andrus, three brothers, Curtis Andrus, George Andrus, and Leon Andrus; one sister, Hazel Andrus; and parents. Services will be at 6:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1st Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1st Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 12, 2014 at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, La. Rev. Jeffrey Ralston, Jerod Grissom, and C.D. Thornton will officiate services.
