Andrea Ellender

Andrea Sue Abshire Ellender, 59, of Sulphur passed away peacefully Friday, March 12, 2021 surrounded by her family.

 Andrea was a lifelong Sulphur resident and graduated from Sulphur High School Class of 1979.  She worked for All Star GMC as a receptionist for many years. Andrea was a private and very independent person. She loved being outdoors, especially fishing, yard work and working in her flower beds. She enjoyed gambling outings with her sister, Deirdre, cooking and most of all spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Claire; she was extremely proud of the young lady she had become.

She is preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 31 years, Mark Ellender; and her father, John Abshire.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Barbara Abshire, two daughters, Tasha McMillian, and Shelly Ellender; granddaughter, Claire McMillian; and her siblings, Rhonda Roden, Tony Abshire, and Deirdre Everage and her husband, Tom.  

A Memorial Service celebrating Andrea’s life will be at 2pm, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Shirley will officiate.
