Andrea Lynn Mclear

Andrea Lynn McLear, 39, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:35 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 in a Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Andrea was born August 11, 1976 in Royal Oak, MI, and lived in Michigan, New Orleans and Indiana before moving to Louisiana in 1982. She graduated as Salutatorian in 1994 from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, where she was and Honor Roll Student and active in band and was Captain of the flag team. Andrea graduated from Louisiana State University with a Business degree. She had a passion for arts and loved working with mosaic tiles.

Andrea is survived by her daughter, Emma Diane Hodges of Baton Rouge; mother, Nydia Koenig and step-father Larry Koenig of Baton Rouge; sister, Catherine Marie Thomas and husband Cetric of Walker, LA; and grandparents, Juanita and Monico Gutierrez of Lorain, OH and Louella and Darrell McLear of Greenville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven McLear.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at St. James Episcopal Church, 205 N. Fourth Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.
