Andrew David Martin

Andrew (David) Martin, Jr., 51, of DeRidder went on to be with our Lord and Savior at 10:30 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

David was born in Houma, Louisiana to the parents of Ann and Andrew Martin. He attended Westlake High School and Grand Lake High School. David served as an Evangelist throughout the country and overseas spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved to sing along with his wife. He was a member of United Gospel Tabernacles, inc. He was an avid hunter and cowboy at heart.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years Tonya Davenport Martin of DeRidder, LA, his parents, Rev. and Mrs. Andrew (Ann LeBlanc) Martin of Grand Lake, LA, one brother, Cecil Martin and wife Mona of Dallas, TX, one sister, Becky Poole and husband Daryl of Grand Lake , LA, 2 nieces, Samantha Megan Poole mother father-in-law, William Carol Davenport of Louisville, Ky.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Grand Lake Faith Temple in Grand Lake, Louisiana. Rev. Chris Borden will officiate. Burial will be in the Sweetlake-Grand Lake Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the church and will continue on Thursday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Martin, Daryl Poole, Shane Diviney, Ricky Poole, Sharkey Guidry, and Roderick Poole.
