Andrew Jeanise Iii

Andrew Jeanise, III, 67, of Lake Charles passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in his residence.

Mr. Jeanise was born on December 25, 1952 in Ozark, AL and was raised in Jennings where he graduated from Jennings High School.  Following graduation, he joined the US Army in 1971 and was honorably discharged from Vilseck, Germany in 1974.  Mr. Jeanise moved to Lake Charles 50 years ago where he worked for Alcoa and retired as an operator after 19 years of service. 

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was known to be able to fix just about anything that needed to be fixed.  He also enjoyed carpentry work. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Donald Jeanise (Michelle) of Orange, TX and Andrew Jeanise IV (Leslie) of Shreveport; father, Andrew Jeanise, Jr. of Crowley; brother, Dwayne Burton (Lori) of Longville; sisters, Linda McDonald of Sulphur, Raedonna Istre (Ronnie) of Lake Charles, and Michelle LeBlanc (Garrett) of Crowley; six grandsons, Donald, Kory, Scott, Kane, Eric, and Drew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jeanise; mother, Mary Jane Burton; father, Floyd Burton; sister, Brenda Thibodeaux; grandson, Sean McCutcheon; and brother in law, Bradley McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff.  The Rev. Levi Thompson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service.
