Andrew Nelson

Andrew M. "Tee" Nelson, 70, of Sulphur, died on Monday, July 23, 2012, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Nelson was born on September 22, 1941, in Lake Providence, La., to Arthur Royal Nelson and Nonnie Mae Nelson.

"Tee" loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, doing yard work, and being around his lake house. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Nelson retired after 24 years of service at Sears Automotive Center as a mechanic and assistant service station manager, and was Co-Owner of Nelson Produce in Sulphur.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Marie Darnell "Nell" Nelson of Sulphur, La; sister, Mary Louise Kelley and husband Larry of Sulphur; daughters, Rebecca Ann Nelson and Marsha Elaine Frederick and husband Damien, all of Sulphur; grandchildren, Erica Wilkins, Alison Nelson, Julia Doyle, Lisa Yentzen, Michael Lara, Phillip Lara, Aaron Hantz, Hunter and Hayden Frederick; 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, James Arthur Nelson and Brian David Nelson; daughter, Cynthia Gail Nelson Lara; brother, Ernest Nelson; mother and father in law, Joe and Pearly Patrick.

Mr. Nelson's celebration of life will be Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 5 PM for friends and family, at the Nelson residence in Sulphur.
