Andrew Suire

Andrew Suire, 88, of Sulphur, LA, died at 2:35 AM on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Suire was born July 21, 1926 in Abbeville, LA, was raised in Gueydan, LA and has lived in Carlyss for the past sixty-seven years. He worked as a boilermaker for thirty-five years. Mr. Suire was a hard worker and dedicated family man. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and enjoyed the challenge of making things. Mr. Suire is survived by his son, Lonnie Suire of Carlyss; sisters, Wanda LaPointe of Gueydan, Lola Tullier of Walker, LA, Nola Hebert of Addis, LA, Norma Cormier of Houma, LA, Mary Saltzman of Carlyss, and Mary Agnes Suire of Sulphur, LA; and his loving friend of seventeen years, Ruth Starr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Lyons Suire; son, Wayne Suire; parents; five brothers; and three sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA. His funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur, LA. Reverend Steve Shirley will officiate.
