Anetha "Corky" Craft

Anetha Jane Snider Craft, 76, of Ragley, LA, died at 6:26 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Craft was born February 24, 1944 in Lake Charles, LA and was a 1963 graduate of LaGrange High School.  She received her Master’s degree in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, TX.  Mrs. Craft enjoyed her fifty-year nursing career, retiring from Lake Charles Memorial Hospital as the Nurse Educator.  Her passion for nursing led her to be a nursing professor at McNeese State University.  She was a member of Squyres United Methodist Church and had a great love for quilting.  She was a member of the Calcasieu Cut Ups Quilt Guild and enjoyed sharing her quilting talents with others.  Mrs. Craft will be remembered for her great love of nursing, quilting, and for the unconditional love she had for her family and everyone she knew.

Mrs. Craft is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Larry Wayne Craft of Ragley; children, Christopher Wayne Craft and wife Brandy of Ragley, Stephanie Jane Stanfield and husband John of Ragley, and Kevin Ross Craft of Rockport, TX; sister, Lynn Brooks Cobb of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Abigail Lea Stanfield, William Samuel Stanfield, and Kyle Edward Craft.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murray Brooks Snider; and mother, Billie Anetha Ross Edwards.

Her memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff.  Reverend Lindsey Sirman will officiate.  A gathering of family members and friends will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
