Angela Pauline Mcgee

Angela Pauline McGee, 48, of Lake Charles died Saturday January 29, in a Baton Rouge Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born in Sulphur and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. Angela was a 1991 graduate of Barbe High School and attended McNeese State University.  Angela worked as a beauty consultant working in the Health and Beauty, however her passion was helping the needy.

She was a volunteer at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church assisting in food deliveries and also volunteered with the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She never turned down anyone that needed help.

Angela is survived by a son Tanner McGee and a daughter Isabelle McGee both of Lake Charles; her parents, Osey “Skip” McGee, Jr. and Evelyn Young McGee both of Lake Charles; two brothers, Craig McGee of Houston and Mark McGee and his wife Melissa of Moss Bluff;  a niece, Emily Pierce and her husband Donovan and two nephews, Christian McGee and his wife Tori and Devin McGee.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 2, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Reverend Levi Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in McGee Cemetery in Kinder.  Visitation will be  held at Lake City Baptist Church, 3940 Holly Hill Rd., beginning at 10:00 AM.  A rosary to be recited at 12:30 PM, prior to moving to Our Lady Queen of Heaven.
