Angie Bourgeois, formerly of New Orleans, LA but residing in Lake Charles for close to 40 years passed away at St Patrick's hospital on Tuesday, December 3, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Angelina was born on July 11, 1926 to Joseph and Josephine Rouse in New Orleans, LA. Angie was a graduate of Soule Business College of New Orleans. She worked as a medical bookkeeper for many years but her final job was loving caretaker to her husband Claude. God gave her the strength to care for him at home through the debilitating disease of ALS for 7 years and was at his side when God called him home. She is survived by two daughters, MaryAnn Henry and husband Richard of Fort Lauderdale and Claudia Hodges of Westlake; and one grandson, Jackson Hodges who was the absolute light of her life. Mass will be at St Dominic's Catholic Church on Saturday December 6 at 12:30 PM. Visitation will also be at St Dominic's Catholic Church in New Orleans, La from 10:30 AM to 12:30PM. Immediately following Mass we will have a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, La. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Foundation in loving memory of her husband Claude.
