Angeline "Angie" Blazquez Deluca

Angeline "Angie" Blazquez DeLuca went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 27, 2013. She was born September 11, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the wife of Louis Charles DeLuca. They resided in Lake Charles, LA and were members of St. Margaret Catholic Church for 58 years. Angie proudly served her country for two years in the United States Air Force. She retired from the Federal Aviation Administration at Lake Charles Regional Airport in 1983. She loved life, family, friends, baking, crochet and embroidery, flower gardening, and traveling. Angie was loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 67 years, Louis Charles DeLuca; her daughters, Louise Janet DeLuca and Susan Mary DeLuca Jones and husband Danny; son, Thomas Wayne DeLuca and wife Masako; grandson, Kiichiro Joshua DeLuca; granddaughter, Keiko Jennifer DeLuca; sister, Mary Blazquez Wylie, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Blazquez and Atanasia Garcia Blazquez; brothers, Vince Blazquez and Augustine Blazquez; sister, Elisa Blazquez Haggard; nephews, Gordon Haggard and David Wylie and her niece and godchild, Kathleen "Kathy" Muth. A celebration of Angie's life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 30, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jeffrey Starkovich will officiate. Interment services with Military honors will follow at Consolata Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 5:00 P.M. Visitation Monday will be from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the service in the funeral home. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to honor Angie to St. Margaret Catholic Church's St. Vincent de Paul ministry, 2500 Enterprise Blvd., Lake Charles, LA 70601, or the charity of one's choice.
