Anita Dronnet Little

April 28, 1943 — February 22, 2023

Anita Rose Little, 79, of Sulphur passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
Anita was born in Sulphur, LA, to Paul and Rose Dronnet; she has resided in Sulphur for over 50 years. You would have met her working for Theriot’s and Market Basket before she became the first person you met at Home Building Materials for over 20 years. Anita loved people and never met a stranger. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Family was always most important to Anita, and once she knew you…. You were family!
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Debbie Walsh and husband Joe, Sherry Jo Freeman, Cindy Vincent and husband Mike, and Jason Freeman and wife Tonya, all of Sulphur; her grandchildren, Shyla Freeman, Derrek Thibodeaux, Stacey Bynum, Tracey Freeman, Ashley Berry, Mikey Vincent, Jason Freeman, Jr., Jeremy Freeman, Jonathon Freeman, and Jessica Freeman; and nine great grandchildren with one on the way. She will also be missed by her bonus family, Kim Little, Tana Pike, Kayla Vidrine, Telisa Burleson, Shane LeBlanc, and numerous bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister and “partner in crime”, Gail Bergeron; and her brother, Earnest Dronnet.
Anita was preceded in death by her partner of 30 years, Curly LeBlanc; brother, Cecil Dronnet; and brother-in-law, Dennis Bergeron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM, Monday, February 27, 2023 in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Father Michael Beverung will officiate. Visitation will be held 3PM – 8PM Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. A recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:30pm, followed by a Celebration of Anita’s life at 7pm. There will be no visitation on Monday.
The family wished to express their gratitude to Anita’s special “Angel”, Lisa Knight, and to the staff of Harbor Hospice House for the care and compassion given during Anita’s illness.
