Anita Plaisance Martin

Anita Plaisance Martin, 77, of Bundicks Lake died at 5:45 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in a local care facility. Mrs. Martin was born on July 16, 1937 in Crowley and was raised in Gueydan before moving to the Bundicks Lake area. She enjoyed many activities including painting, fishing, and gardening as well as her monthly Bunco games. Mrs. Martin adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons and their wives, Dale Dartez of Bundicks Lake, Darrell Dartez and Debbie of Ragley, Karl Dartez and Mona of Longville, and Randy Dartez and Sonja of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Precious and Itty Bitty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis D. Martin. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Cemetery in Bel, LA. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
