Ann Dickson

January 6, 1928 — January 17, 2022

Novalin Ann Dickson

"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put
my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my
soul." Psalm 66: 1-3

On the morning of January 17, 2022, Novalin Ann Dickson peacefully
took her last breath in the arms of God just days after her 94th birthday. Even in her last days she remained pleasant and sweet as life here was approaching its end. She will be remembered as a tiny little gracious lady, yet boundless with energy and enthusiasm, devoted to the ones she loved. She was a faithful believer in the Lord and a member of St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church.

She married Charles Pete Dickson in 1968 and together they founded
Tony's Pizza of Lake Charles, which remains a local business icon 54
years later. Although the role assigned to her was "woman behind the
man", (which she actually delighted in being), she quietly was the driving force there. She was instrumental in the success and longevity of the restaurant.  She loved to proudly escort patrons to their seats, always with a glowing smile on her face.

Left to preserve her memory are Adonis and Cindy Dickson, grandsons Ryan and Sean; Dimitrios and Janet Dickson, granddaughter Alexandra and grandson Alexander; and Sterling and Debbie Dickson, grandson Christopher and wife Melissa, and her little great-granddaughters, Hannah Elise and Elizabeth Kate whom she loved to see.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles Pete
Dickson, her parents John and Verge Koonce, her sisters Naoma Block, and Dorothy Jones.

She also leaves behind Danae Pappadimitriou whom was her dear and devoted friend, providing her hours of loving companionship. To Mark Charles we are extremely grateful for his loyalty and dedication for many years providing assistance in whatever was needed for Mrs. Dickson.

Officiating the private family graveside services will be Rev. Harold Nixon of Our Lady Queen of Heaven at Consolata Cemetery on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Charles, Mike Eason, Leonard Fuselier, James Leger, Robert Thompson and Dr. Van Snider.

The family wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Jeremy Fruge' and the staff of Sage Oak for exceptional care given to Mother Ann as she was truly happy and comfortable there following the circumstances of Hurricane Laura. Also special thanks to the staffs of Harbor Hospice for an exemplary job.
