Anna Dean Ogea

December 27, 1937 — September 23, 2015

Anna Dean Ogea, 77, received her eternal reward on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Grand Cove Nursing facility, surrounded by her loving family. Anna Dean was born on December 27, 1937 in Carencro, LA to A.B. and Rita Guilbeaux. She spent most of her life in Lake Charles, before moving to Sulphur in 2011. From 1970-1974, she worked as a secretary at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School. She will be remembered by most for her service at Crossroads Bookstore. It was at the request of the late Msgr. Irving DeBlanc that Dean joined the staff of Crossroads, where she worked for over 25 years, most of that time as manager. She enjoyed playing Mahjong weekly with her friends, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and, most of all, loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her very best friend and loving husband of 61 years, Alvin Joseph Ogea; one daughter, Rebecca Lyn Janot and husband Dr. Robert Janot of Sulphur, LA; three sons, Alvin Ricky Ogea and wife Myrna of LeBleu Settlement, LA; Craig Allen Ogea of Pensacola, FL; and Randal Keith Ogea and wife Julie of Lake Charles, LA; two granddaughters, Kayla Nicole Ogea and Emily Janot Porche and husband Cody; Four grandsons, Alvin Ricky Ogea II and wife Angela, Zac Ogea and wife Heather, Adam Ogea, Dr. Adam Janot and wife Hillary; one great granddaughter, Ashlyn Ogea; one brother, Michael Guilbeaux and wife Leslie; and one sister, Jackie Belaire and husband Keith. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Chad Michael Ogea. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Fr. Aubrey Guilbeau and Deacons Glenn Viau and Richard Donahoe will officiate the services. Interment will be at Consolata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Ricky Ogea II, Zac Ogea, Adam Ogea, Darin "Bubba" Belaire, Hunter Keller, and Keith Belaire. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Adam Janot and Cody Porche. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brian Clements, the nurses and staff of Grand Cove Nursing Facility, and Brighton Bridge Hospice Services for their extraordinary compassion, care and love.
