Anna Mae (Comeaux) Primeaux, 90, peacefully entered the Kingdom of God on Friday, November 18, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family and friends in her home.
Anna Mae was born March 13, 1921 in Lacassine, LA to Paul and Adelia (David) Comeaux. She married Oliver "Pete" Primeaux, Jr. on February 20, 1937 by whom she is preceded in death. They settled in Holmwood, LA and raised seven children.
Anna Mae was a devout Catholic and life-long member of St. John Vianney Church in Bell City, LA. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Holmwood rosary/prayer group. She unconditionally loved and welcomed into her home everyone she met. She was a patient, sweet, selfless and gentle Momma and Maw Maw.
She is survived by her children, Robert "Bob" Primeaux, Jeanette Leger and husband Eddie, all of Holmwood, Annette Darbone and husband Eddie of Baton Rouge, Susie O'Blanc and husband Harris, Denny Primeaux and wife Patty, and Wayne Primeaux, all of Holmwood, and Louise O'Blanc and husband Tony of Bell City; grandchildren, Penny (Larry) Reimers, Robbie (Susan) Primeaux, Peggy (Byron) Manuel, Roderick Primeaux, Kirk (Tammy) Marceaux, Koty Primeaux, Keith (Jennifer) Leger, Vickie (Claude) Dickerson, Paige (Bob) Neal, Heath Darbone, Dustin Darbone, Wendy (Scott) Daigle, Jenny (Heath) Nunez, Jerod (Courtney) O'Blanc, Eric (Mary) O'Blanc, Kyle (Nicole) O'Blanc, and Katie (Kyle) Hodges; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Scott) Canik, Wade and Corey Romero, Bryce Primeaux, Haleigh and Ashley Reimers, Samantha Primeaux, Tanner and Hallie Marceaux, Marques, Joel, Angelle, and Beau Leger, Megan and Ryan Dickerson, Julia and Taylor Neal, Matthew and Andrew Daigle, Hannah, Ava, and Emma Nunez, Gracie and Collin O'Blanc, Hope Hebert, Blair, Brooke, and Josie O'Blanc, and John Paul Hodges; and great-great-grandchildren, Tyleigh and Talan Canik.
Her funeral mass will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2011 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Reverends Warren Broussard and Emanuel Tanu will officiate. Burial will follow in DeRouen-Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes, LA. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
