Anna Murphey

Anna Murphey, 78, passed away in a local hospital on May 24, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born on September 29, 1942 in Bossier City to Karl and Lucille Taylor.

In earlier years she enjoyed working in her garden, cooking for family and friends, painting, and taking trips with her husband. She was employed as a paralegal until her retirement in 2012.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Michael D. Murphey; son, Wayne Taylor (Lisa); stepchildren, Chris Murphey (Janie), Stacy Badeaux, Ashley Jenkins (Dustin), and Carolyn Murphey (fiancé, Joshua Jones); two grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home and the family will host a celebration of her life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
